Dr. Flaumenhaft’s laboratory focuses on platelet and endothelial cell biology and mechanisms of thrombus formation. He is Chief of the Division of Hemostasis and Thrombosis, was elected to the American Society of Clinical Investigators and the American Association of Physicians, and received an Outstanding Investigator Award from NIH. Dr. Flaumenhoft has a special interest in mentoring physician-scientists and PhDs. He has trained over 40 post-docs in the field of Hemostasis and Thrombosis, and is director of the T32 training program, “Blood Coagulation and Vascular Biology”.
