Dr. Kumar's research interests include studying the natural history of thrombophilia in children, the interaction between exercise and coagulation, and long-term side effects of blood clots in children. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed research articles and review papers in pediatric thrombosis and hemostasis. Dr. Kumar is the recipient of numerous research awards, including the 2016 HTRS Mentored Research Award.
