Dr. Krishnan’s current research focuses on transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms of blood cell function and dysfunction in human disease. Her work integrates omics-based discovery (from large clinical cohorts) with experimental and computational systems biology approaches toward a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms, risk stratification, and novel therapeutic strategies. Dr. Krishnan served on the 2023 SEARCH Workshop Committee and was the 2022 recipient of the HTRS Mid-Career Research Award.
