The Pediatric Hematology Program is a section of the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Cellular Therapy at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, the hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  We are seeking a full time, board-eligible/board-certified pediatric hematologist oncologist with a focus in pediatric hemostasis thrombosis. Experience in research and programmatic development would be of interest as we seek to develop our programs in these areas. Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and participation in clinical research.

We have a large hematology patient population with over 800 congenital hemostasis disorder patients followed at our federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center, over 800 sickle cell/thalassemia patients, and close to 75 thrombosis patients per year. We currently have multi-disciplinary clinics for hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, “GAB” clinic for persons with heavy menstrual bleeding, sickle cell/thalassemia, and other chronically transfused patients with various diagnoses including bone marrow failure and RBC enzyme deficiencies. The Division partners closely with the Adult Hematology team to provide a smooth transition and lifespan care for all our patients with chronic hematologic disorders. The robust Pediatric Hematology team includes 5 faculty members, 5 Nurse Practitioners, 4.5 CRAs, 0.5 Research NP, 4 Social Workers.  The division is comprised of 19 faculty, 6 fellows and 10 advanced practice providers.

CHAM is a 193-bed facility that provides comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care and primarily serves patients from the Bronx, Westchester and Hudson Valley. We have 10 clinic rooms, a 21-bed Ambulatory Infusion Center and a 36-bed inpatient unit. Our hematology services include comprehensive, family-centered care focusing on the clinical and psychosocial needs of the child. \

We are seeking to recruit faculty with the following expertise/interests:

1. Pediatric Thrombosis and Hemostasis

2. Clinical Investigator at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with interest in any area of Pediatric Hematology  

In addition to a competitive salary of $175,000-$190,000 commensurate with academic rank, we offer the opportunity to enhance compensation with research and clinical productivity incentives and bonuses.
