The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine and The Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders of Emory in Atlanta, Georgia seeks an interested, enthusiastic, and collegial faculty member to join the Hematology Division as the Sidney F. Stein Chair in Hemophilia and Hemostasis. This endowed chair is designed to support a physician-investigator at the Associate Professor or Professor level who is focused on the current and future care of adult patients with inherited bleeding disorders. The recipient of the endowed Chair will also have the opportunity to teach and mentor trainees of Emory University School of Medicine and support the Division and Center’s overall growth in hemostasis research. Candidates should be board certified in hematology and have a track record of clinical and research excellence. Competitive candidates will show evidence of leadership experience, a significant history of academic scholarship, experience in clinical research and education, and a strong clinical background.  

Duties include administrative leadership, academic scholarship, clinical research, teaching, and community service. Clinical service responsibilities will include medical care of non-malignant hematologic disorders, focusing on hemostatic disorders, in the outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as consultative hematology services at Emory University Hospitals and/or Grady Healthcare.
